Conclusion

In Summary

The timeline for the creation of the universe, the Earth and life is rejected by the scientific community because God is supernatural and cannot be observed, tested or repeated. However, the same scientific community teaches the following tenants of the evolutionary model:

  • The universe came from nothing (not observable, no evidence, supernatural, contradicts and defies physics and logic)

  • Exploding atoms from the Big Bang aligned perfectly so that life could exist (mathematically impossible)

  • Lifeless chemicals self-organized into a symphony of extremely sophisticated biochemical machines all working together guided by DNA in order to create life by random chance (unable to replicate in a lab with human intelligence, never observed in nature, mathematically impossible and the Law of Biogenesis states it can’t happen)

  • “Simple” life continued to add new information to DNA through random mutations to create more complex life (no evidence of this, all observations of mutations have been damaging or neutral at best, the opposite of what we see in nature)

  • Our universe is actually just one universe in an infinite number of universes (supernatural and unable to be tested or observed, no evidence or plausible theory to explain this claim and it is not even close to scientific)

Please remember the above bullet points the next time you see on television or read in a magazine how “religious fanatics” refuse to believe in evolution despite it being scientific fact.

The Creation model is extremely consistent.  We believe in a God that created a universe of logic and order.  We believe that God gave mankind the ability to think, challenge and observe the natural world that He created.  Just as God used his imagination and creativity (that is clearly seen in the astounding beauty and diversity of our world), He desires that we discover, build, design and improve our world using our God-given gifts.

If God did in fact create the universe, science can be much more effective with that knowledge as its foundation (rather than the false idea that nature has the power to do things that it can’t).  Think of the hundreds of billions of dollars wasted on evolutionary research.  Think of the benefits to society if the brilliant minds at NASA spent time trying to improve impoverished countries as opposed to figuring out how our universe came from nothing.  What if, instead of spending millions of man-hours each year around the world convincing children and adults that we are pointless accidents with no purpose, we spent that time teaching people that life is precious and that they are uniquely gifted?  What, if instead of spending countless resources creating man-made drugs that don’t cure diseases, our medical community understood that God made us perfectly with an immune system that could conquer any disease if it simply worked as designed?  What if health education professionals knew that God created our food perfectly and that the farther we veer from His initial design the more problems our body will have?  What if psychologists and counselors knew that the key to a successful life and marriage is a God-centered life since that is how God designed us?  What if all politicians and leaders believed in a God who not just loves us but also holds us accountable to do the right thing?

If the creation model is correct (and it seems there is very strong evidence that it is), professionals in all fields would not only be better and more effective at what they do, they would greatly benefit society.  If the Creation model is true, Creation scientists can be far more effective than a scientist who is starting with the a false assumption that there is no Designer in nature and everything is a result of random chance.  It is impossible to predict what random processes are going to do, but a logical and loving Designer can be known and assumptions can be made about the world and about the incredible design within it.

My Hope

In closing, thank you for visiting this website. I appreciate that you took time out of your busy life to read through the information shared here. My hope and prayer is that with this new knowledge you will grow not only your own faith and trust in God but also the faith of your family. Most importantly, I implore you to protect those that you have influence over.  Protect your children, your nieces and nephews, your grand kids, your spouse.  College students are probably the most susceptible to evolutionary beliefs due to the liberal influence at most colleges (even at most “Christian” universities).  Once your eyes are opened, it should be obvious that there is a targeted, purposeful and strategic agenda to deceive you and your family.  There are numerous atheist organizations dedicated to “freeing your mind” from the “bondage of religion”.  Be mindful of what you allow you and your family to watch on television and read in magazines.  John tells us that, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy” (John 10:10) and we should expect nothing less and prepare for nothing less.

Paul warned of a world that deceived itself and persecuted those who believed differently.  He urged the church to cling to the Word of God which they could trust:

“In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Tim 3:12-17)

I encourage you to be very mindful and strategic in teaching your children.  Do not use the same strategy of mindless memorization that is used in public schools.  We must teach our kids to think critically.  Help them understand the theory of evolution (but include the entire truth).  Let them openly question the creation model and the Bible in a respectful way and then help them find answers.  The truth will always win out if that is what they are seeking – so teach them the importance of seeking the truth and not just accepting it from other people (especially the media).

Next Steps

If this information was interesting for you, you may learn more about this topic.  I’ve tried to anticipate and answer some of your questions:

Q: How do I teach my kids science from a creation perspective?  All the secular materials teach evolution as fact.
A:  Well, you are in luck because there are a lot of great materials and resources available to you.  Check out our resources page for some places to start.

Q:  I’ve got friends who believe in evolution, how should I handle that?
A:  First of all pray for them.  If they are Christians, they may be open to a discussion.  I’ve had some open-minded friends who were on the fence about Christianity and evolution that were pretty receptive to the conversation. However, I’ve also had conversations with atheists and have never had any success in changing their mind regardless of the evidence.  If someone wants to believe in evolution because it supports their faith, they won’t care to challenge it.  That being said, you never know what kind of seed you might be planting.  Just know going in what to expect.

Q:  I have so many friends and family that I’d like to share this with, what should I do?
A: That’s really the purpose of this website.  Talk to them about some of the things that you learned that were most interesting to you and ask them to take a look at this site.  Some people couldn’t care less about the topic (then, once they view the information, it changes their lives and their kids’ lives).  For me and my wife, it was an incredible experience of learning that God is faithful and true and that we can trust His Word regardless of what the world tells us.  We will pass this down to our children and teach them to be faithful, intellectual warriors for God.

Q:  It seems like there were a lot of topics that you didn’t cover – why not?
A:  The goal of this website is to give our visitors a somewhat condensed journey through the creation vs. evolution debate. There are many excellent websites with far more information (AIG.org, ICR.org, Creation.com, for example).  My experience with these sites, however, is that they are great if you know what you are looking for, but can be challenging to navigate if you are new to the topic and want an overview.  This website was designed as a guide for those who want a fairly quick education in the major areas of the debate (and draws much of its support from articles, videos and books from sites such as these)

Q:  Where do I get more information and resources on a specific topic?
A:  I try to provide some additional links on our resources page.  If you have a question, feel free to reach out with the form at the bottom of the resource page.  Again, I am no expert but will try to point you in the right direction.
