In all of my research, I believe the question of starlight is probably one of the most challenging for the creation model. Below are some various opinions on what happened. However, it is important to understand that distant starlight is NOT evidence for evolution against creation as you will see. If the universe is 20 billion light years in diameter, how did light travel all the way across the universe in only 13.7 billion years (the supposed age of the universe)? This presents the same problem.
Dr. Kent Hovind gives his take on how we can see stars from a young Earth
Dr. Jason Lisle is a super smart guy who has some ideas on the topic.
Dr. Humphreys is a genius who has made several successful prediction relating to planets that NASA got wrong. This is pretty advanced physics but even if you don’t understand it (which is 99% of people I think) it gives you an idea of other options out there.
